Happy Sunday, Frameworkers!
I am busy building, so I won't keep you long this week, but I'd like to tell you what I've been up to and invite you to help.
I spent the past week learning on a site called Framework. A couple of weeks ago, the founder reached out and said he thought they had the perfect tools to take the Framework Challenge to the next level.
After a brief meeting, I was pleasantly surprised and decided to give this a shot. I've spent the last week brainstorming and trying to flesh out the mission and purpose behind the challenge.
The concept is simple. Take a quality framework, apply it to a stock you are interested in, learn what pieces of the framework are helpful to you, and then add those to your personal framework.
Mission Statement: To Speed Up the Learning Curve for Investors Through Applied Learning and a Vibrant Community
More on that below👇
I am early in the process, so I haven't set anything in stone, and I suspect things to change as the challenge evolves. Meanwhile, I'm having a blast thinking through the possibilities and would like to invite you to participate in the process.
Will you help me test the 1st Framework Challenge?
I am looking for a small group of investors to help me work through the glitches and provide feedback before rolling it out to a larger audience.
Here are the details 👇
The challenge begins on Monday, March 6th, and runs through the 10th. Each day should take 30-45 minutes, and there will be an opportunity to meet and engage with other investors throughout the process. In the end, I will ask for your honest feedback.
That's it! You'll get a chance to learn about a new (or old) stock and test out The Framework Challenge while engaging with wonderful folks from across the country/world.
I'm not sure what this will turn into, but it's a passion project, and I'm excited. The potential upside is large, and I can't see much downside, so it's a low-risk opportunity.
Speaking of risk, that's what we'll discuss in the inaugural challenge.
Let me know if you are interested, and I'll add you to the list. And if you know someone who would enjoy the challenge, please share this with them.
Have a great week!
Before I go, here are a few of my favorite things from last week 👇
◾Identifying High-Quality Management Teams
I compiled a list of the qualities some of the best investors look for in management teams. These are excerpts from John Rotonti articles.
◾I found my back to the Founders Podcast, this time with the Paul Graham essays. There are 3 episodes but listen at your own risk. These will lead you down a deep, deep rabbit hole.
Well done Jason! So much value here! (I love the plug for PG's essays at the end!). See you in the challenge on the 6th!. Stay well. - KB
I’m in, Jason!
